Full Time Program Coordinator 

Full Time / temporary position with the opportunity to become permanent.  Position is available Immediately. (or upon scheduled start date).

Flexible, day-time scheduling.  Mostly Mondays & Fridays, with 5 or less Saturdays per year. 


As a Chamber of Commerce Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for organizing, coordinating, and facilitating various programs, events, and initiatives aimed at fostering economic development, supporting local businesses, and promoting community engagement within the region. You will work closely with chamber members, community leaders, and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that enhance the business environment and contribute to the overall growth and prosperity of the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Program Development: Collaborate with chamber staff and members to identify key areas of focus for programs and initiatives. Develop program goals, objectives, and strategies aligned with the chamber's mission and objectives.

  2. Event Planning and Management: Plan, organize, and execute a variety of events, including networking opportunities, educational seminars, workshops, and community outreach events. Coordinate event logistics, secure venues, manage vendor relationships, and oversee event promotion and registration processes.

  3. Membership Engagement: Engage with chamber members to understand their needs and interests. Develop programs and services that provide value to members and encourage their active participation in chamber activities. Foster strong relationships with members through regular communication and networking opportunities.

  4. Community Outreach: Collaborate with local businesses, government agencies, educational institutions, and community organizations to identify opportunities for collaboration and partnership. Represent the chamber at community events and meetings to promote chamber initiatives and build relationships with key stakeholders.

  5. Marketing and Promotion: Develop marketing materials, including flyers, brochures, newsletters, and social media content, to promote chamber programs and events. Work with the marketing team to implement marketing strategies and campaigns to increase awareness and participation in chamber activities.


  • Experience in administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.

  • Previous experience in program coordination, event planning, or community engagement preferred.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.

  • Knowledge of local business community and economic development issues is desirable.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
