The Rock Falls Chamber is currently seeking nominations for its Board of Directors. Terms are for three years and begin in 2008.
Four current Board member’s terms are expiring this year and two members, Ron Hammer of Radio Ranch and Becky Hunter of Harold’s Furniture are ineligible to run again because they have served two consecutive terms on the Board. Ron is a past Board chairman and advisor. Becky currently serves as the Board’s treasurer. Both will be missed and we deeply appreciate the guidance and assistance they have given the Chamber.
The terms of two other Board members, Daehle Reitzel of Wheelock Furniture, and Sally Scanlan of Community State Bank are also expiring. Daehle is finishing his first term on the Board and is eligible to seek a second term. Sally is currently filling an unexpired term and is also eligible to run again.
Requirements to be a Board member are to be a member of the Chamber of Commerce and the ability to attend meetings and chair select committees. They are required to represent the Chamber in positive ways and actively promote the Chamber. They should also be available to help on various activities and contribute to Board meetings.
